so true Sunday, Mar 23 2008

You are 3:15 p.m.

You are the moment when the last bell rings and school lets out for the day. You are resistant to schedules and obligations, so you love feeling like you’re in control of your life again. You are the very moment when the second hand hits the 12, and the halls fill with noise and motion. Even if your after-school time is packed with activities, lessons, or a job, somehow, you just feel freer in the late afternoon than you do earlier in the day. Maybe it’s all that blue sky and afternoon sunshine? Nah — even on rainy days, 3:15 is always a beautiful time.

no can haz job Friday, Mar 14 2008

well I was there two weeks and they laid me and 6 other guys off due to work slow down, oh well, that’s how it goes these days I guess. so that is now 6 jobs total I have had over 10 1/2 years.

first was as a BSA summer camp merit bage counselor. reason for termination= parent heard their boy telling a dirty joke at home after the campout I was in charge of, stating that is where he heard it from.

second was working for a estimators firm for contractors, pulling details off prints to typing up reports. reason for termination= it was a summer job with a set leave date before I started.

third was a part time working at a machine shop that manufatures and refurbishes ball-screws and ball-nuts, pullo=ing print details off of physical pieces or hand drawn scetches and putting in a cad file. reason for termination = hired into another company full time.

forth was working for a company called Glastender working in their engineering department drefting, designing and actually buinding prototypes and fix program errors. reason for termination= they felt 1-2% error on custom designed parts on average based on monthly information was too much, but get this, in their “scorecard” for monthly goals, 2% error was the goal for custom programs. I knew they wanted to get rid of me since this job was another workers and they could use this to get a paper trail to fire me. they way they were treating me the month or two before termination I was planning to quit anyways. when I call in to start unemployment again I will still be pulling off of them for about 10 weeks still, LOL

the fifith was my first union job at a sheetmetal shop that specialized in siding and ductwork. the reason for termination= I was not working fast enough ” even though all I was doing was use part fed machines that can only be feed so fast”, the real reason was becaused I messed up a big duct that was expensive for a job that was later cancelled and not for my duct being late, the buisness rep told me he chewed them out for leaving a pre-apprentice alone to work on a $8,000 duct.

the six was the latest helping the insulators by getting them materials and supplies they need. reson for termination= project coming to and end and work needed was slowing down. I spent most of my time walking the stairs trying to find something to do so I figured it wasn’t going to be long anyways.

on a plus note, I just got off the phone with the buisness rep and he may have another job for me soon, possibly with sheetmetal workers going to the same facility for siding work, LOL.

maybe I can haz job, woot!!!1

chillidogs, mmmmmm….. Sunday, Mar 9 2008

wanting something hot at work I decided to make chilli dogs at home to warm up there. it works out to about $0.60 a piece, instead of 2.50 at the job site lunch wagon.

hot, cheap, and bad for my health. mmmmmmmmm

toodles

are you gellin’ Thursday, Mar 6 2008

after day three of the stairs my heals hurt. and since I had bow shooting right afer work and I needed to shop for lunch stuff I got home 25 minutes ago and just finished stocking the shelves and prepared my lunch. I hope the new gel inserts I got for my boots works a mirical tomorrow. I had to get the heel insert since my feet are too big around for the boots with a regular full insert. part of the reason is I was walking up the stairs flat footed to lessen the strain on my calf muscles. I am so tempted to get a stupid leg massager to work my legs down afterwork, while I nap on the days I can, mmmmmmmm.

one good thing is I have nothing going on afterwork tomorrow so I’ll get some stuff done and try to crash early tomorrow. I doubt that will be hard to do. cant wait till next week, first paycheck and last unemployment check in the same week. the two together is normally what I make in a month on the unemployment. unfortunatly most will go to pastdue bills to get myself back up to current. thank god for a light at the end of the tunnel

It may be cold outside, but it was july in my carharts Wednesday, Mar 5 2008

first off, the silly save button being highlighted makes it difficult to publish and not save a draft of it in a hurry to shut down.

I no longer need thermal’s with these babies on. I had to remove my stocking had under my hardhat to cool down a little, I was actually fogging up my glasses with the heat I was pumping out. I could take my gloves off and see a layer of steam surrounding them. this is good because the thermals lock my jeans to my skin as tight as they are so I should be able to climb the 7-8 freakin’ flights all day without as much effort. maybe this can be a weight lost trend

 people,

whould you like to burn calories and tone your legs up for shorts season. would you like to also make over $800 a week  by preforming this simple and easy to do workout. then I have a gym for you. it’s the insulators.their union, but let the republicans complain about that while you workout for a better body and life style, LOLOL

ok, time for my 6.5-7 hour power nap before I start again, hopefully my calves loosen up before round 3. I honestly think I have walked more stairs in the past 2 days at the job, then this year at my house, possibly including last year too.

being busy sux Tuesday, Mar 4 2008

barely use to the schedule I didn’t sleep to well last night, I’m still use to being up late. the last two night’s I had no caffeine for 6 hours or so before bed and only one or two per day. which is cutting down for me. after working out in the cold and high winds I decided to invest in some good carharts. I found out tractor supply had them 40% off, w00t!!!1!. I got a good jacket which was easy. findin a pair of overall’s was mission impossible. the insulated ones were only in youth leaving only the one piece suit. I couldn’t get my leg up to hight in thoso and figured insulated ones were no go for stairs anyways and purchased regular bibs. afterwards I hurried home to remove my thermals since I had gotten quite warm in the store. the raced over to the scout meeting. mainly to talk with the father interested in the chess set. he liked the older set so I’ll have to finish pouring that set and begin cleaning it along with the other set in my “spare time” which no longer exists working 7 days a week. oh well. I’ll get use to this eventually, guess I’ll have to make better time management thoughts

full time work, and them some Monday, Mar 3 2008

I went through my safety training today for where I am working for the next 2 months. and getting like a 4 month check, lol. the job is 7 days a week with every other Sunday off. and the weekdays are 10 hours a day, I think Saturday and the Sunday we work is only 8 hours. so the potential for a 66 hour week (8|) .

I will ask if I can have the weekend of 4/18-4/20 off for penquicon. Hopefully this early enough notice lets them know this is something already planned and they don’t look down on it with there tight schedule. I don’t even know what I’ll be doing so tomorrow will definitely be interesting
